What is profiling, how and why do we profile?
Following the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which is the Regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council of 2016/679 on the protection of personal data, "profiling" means any form of automated processing of personal data, which consists in the use of personal data to assess certain personal aspects of a natural person, in particular for the analysis or forecasting of aspects relating to the performance of that natural person's work, their economic situation, health, personal preferences, interests, reliability, behaviour, location or travel;

Within the websites of the Data Controller and tracking technologies (including cookies, which are described below), the User's data may be profiled. This is done using algorithms that we create ourselves or use external tools dedicated to this purpose. Profiling is based on the information we have about declared interests, or those resulting from activity on our websites, social media or mailing systems, as well as the collected information on gender, age group, declared needs, purchase history of our products or services. Thanks to this information and mechanisms for collecting this information, we can match our offer to your needs as precisely as possible, fulfill your order and carry out our activities. In this way, we avoid excessive exposure of your attention to our activities and products that do not interest you, or that you have already used.

Example:
If we are running a marketing campaign and you receive an invitation from us to take advantage of a dedicated discount because you have already purchased other products from us or you regularly visit the page of that product, then profiling occurs in the sense of the GDPR and automated decisions will be made based on the data we have.

The purpose of profiling is to offer you what is more likely to interest you and at the same time to reduce the display of offers and content that may be annoying to you. Your refusal, for example, of cookies that allow you to display ads tailored to your interests does not mean that you will not receive any ads when using our or other pages - in this case you will still receive the same amount of ads, but not related to your previous activity.

Retargeting
Based on the cookies and other tracking technologies described below, we use the ability to reach users with advertising who have already been to our Sites and subdomains. We believe that it is more interesting and practical for the user to receive a message from us that is in line with their interests and needs, which we identify during the analysis of behavior on our Sites, including based on cookie technology.
