These terms and conditions govern the participation in DataWorkshop's online courses, workshops, online challenges, conferences, the DataWorkshop Club, and any initiatives aimed at disseminating knowledge and assisting individuals in developing skills, including tailored offerings and programs.

In our endeavor to empower both programmers and professionals from IT and non-IT backgrounds, we host comprehensive online courses. These courses are meticulously crafted to facilitate retraining, enabling participants to leverage machine learning techniques to address real-world business challenges effectively.

Furthermore, we take pride in organizing paid one-day workshops in select cities, alongside a thoughtfully curated paid conference. These events are integral components of our business strategy, aimed at fostering a community of learners and professionals who are passionate about exploring the potential of machine learning and data science to transform industries.

Rules for all Courses and Initiatives:

- All courses and initiatives listed above are delivered online on the platform of
Jupyter, access to which is granted by the Administrator.

- Each Course Participant has an individual account where he/she processes the purchased course.

- The Participant does not have the right to independently download materials or data provided in the courses by the Administrator for educational purposes only and exclusively on the platform managed by the Administrator.


Enclosed are the Terms and Conditions, which provide detailed information on various aspects including the process for purchasing access to courses and workshop tickets, the guidelines for participation in courses and workshops, payment options, the procedure for withdrawal, the complaint process, the handling of personal data, and the utilization of cookies and other tracking technologies.

§1 Definitions
For the purposes of these Rules and Regulations, the following terms shall have the following meaning:

  1. Administrator - DataWorkshop LLC 447 Broadway, 2nd Floor, 2387, New York, NY 10013
  2. Stripe - a company and service that allows you to make online payments (https://stripe.com).
  3. Consumer - refers to an individual who enters into a transaction with the Seller, where the transaction is not directly connected to the individual's business or professional pursuits,
  4. User - refers to a natural person of legal age, a legal entity, or an organizational unit without legal personality but granted legal capacity,
  5. Courses - refers to the collective suite of educational offerings crafted by Vladimir Alekseichenko, comprising "Data Science & ML Course from Scratch," "NLP (Natural Language Processing)," "Practical Python for Data Science", "Practical Statistics", "Practical SQL" and "Time Series in ML."
  6. DWthon - hack outside the box - online initiative organized by the Administrator described at: https://dataworkshop.ai/dwthon

§2 Preliminary Provisions
  1. The Administrator facilitates Courses and provides Users with the opportunity to enroll in these Courses for a fee, in accordance with the terms outlined in the Regulations. Additionally, the Administrator organizes Workshops and a Conference, offering Users the chance to participate in these events on a paid basis.
  2. For participation in the Course or any other initiative offered by the Administrator, including purchasing tickets for Workshops or Conferences, the User’s computer or device is only required to meet basic technical specifications:
  • Internet connectivity,
  • A standard operating system,
  • A standard web browser,
  • An active email address.
  1. The Administrator cannot be held accountable for the failure to deliver materials or access information if the User has provided an incorrect email address, or if, due to reasons beyond the Administrator's control, the User's email system blocks emails from the Administrator.
  2. Users are required to participate in Courses or other initiatives under their true identity; participation under anonymity or pseudonyms is not permitted.
  3. When purchasing a Course or tickets for other initiatives, it is strictly forbidden to submit content that is illegal in nature, especially through the use of web forms.
  4. All prices listed on dataworkshop.ai and its subpages are inclusive of all taxes (gross prices).

§4 Course Variants
  1. The Administrator offers three tiers for the Courses "Data Science & Machine Learning in Practice," "Python," "NLP," and "Time Series in ML": Basic, Gold, and Premium. For the Courses "Data Analysis in Python" and "Practical Statistics in Practice"
  2. the Administrator provides a single variant.
  3. Users have the option to enroll in a Course at their chosen level of engagement. The selection of the tier is finalized at the time of purchasing access to the Course, in alignment with the guidelines stipulated in § 7 of the Regulations.
§5 Content and progress of the Course
1. The Courses are held completely online.

2. The completion of each module of the Course is scheduled for one week of the Course. Subsequent modules will be made available to the User gradually, at weekly intervals (one module per 1 week of the Course).

3. The content of the Course varies depending on the variant of the Course. The User will have access to the content of the Course corresponding to the variant of the Course selected by the Buyer.

4. Information on access to the Course will be made available to the User by sending to his/her e-mail address information allowing the User to access the content of the Course and to download the content of the Course to the disk or memory of his/her computer or other device. Downloading the content of the Course will be possible within one year from the beginning of the Course.

5. Each User participating in the Course will be granted access to a special closed support group on Slack related to the Course. The User is required to use the group in a manner consistent with the law, the Slack Terms of Service and good morals. Otherwise, the User may be irretrievably removed from the group. The group will also be active after the end of the Course (at least one month after the end of the Course).

6. Depending on the variant of the Course selected by the User, the User may benefit from additional benefits provided by the Administrator during the Course. Description of additional benefits within the individual variants of the Course in accordance with § 4 paragraph 3 of the Regulations.

7. Communication between the User and the Administrator during the Course will be by means of electronic communication, in particular by Slack. This means that the User may receive messages from the Administrator on Slack, e-mail or by telephone related to the course of the Course.

8. The content of the Course also consists of tasks to be completed by the User independently. Depending on the selected variant of the Course, the User may be able to consult individual tasks with the Administrator. Depending on the selected variant of the Course.

9. in case of any questions or doubts related to the content or course of the Course, the User may contact the Administrator at the e-mail address hello@dataworkshop.ai.

10. DataWorkshop does not guarantee continuous access to the server and the absence of server-related malfunctions.

§6 Participation and purchase of "DWthon - hack outside the box"
  1. "DWthon - Hack Outside the Box" is an entirely online event, featuring five lessons delivered via notebooks in the JupyterHub environment, accessible to participants through individual accounts.
  2. The "DWthon - Hack Outside the Box" initiative has led to the creation of several products, with prices varying based on the timing of participation, the logistics of material distribution, and content, which may undergo slight modifications over time as we implement enhancements and rectify any identified errors.
  3. Upon conclusion of the five-day access period, DataWorkshop does not offer participants the option to download the educational materials.
  4. Participants in the "DWthon - Hack Outside the Box" may be eligible for exclusive discounts and privileges offered by DataWorkshop, such as the opportunity to invite a friend to join the initiative at no additional cost. These special offers are subject to limitations in terms of time and availability, and details are communicated directly to participants via email.
  5. DataWorkshop cannot ensure uninterrupted server access or guarantee the absence of server-related issues.
  6. As part of the DWthon experience, DataWorkshop facilitates access to a dedicated space for knowledge exchange using Slack for "DWthon - Hack Outside the Box" participants. However, the issuance of Slack invitations is contingent upon the Slack tool's notification delivery capabilities, and not all participants may receive an invitation. The absence of a Slack invitation does not detract from the overall value of the initiative.
§7 Opportunity to extend access to "DWthon - hack outside the box"
1. Participants may receive, for a fee, the option to extend access to the "DWthon - hack outside the box" environment and materials.
2. The extension is made depending on the choice of the option available in the DataWorkshop offer.
3. DataWorkshop shall inform participants about possible extension options by e-mail.
§8 DataWorkshop Club

  1. DataWorkshop Club (abbreviated as DW Club) is an initiative designed to allow users to buy access to learning materials and environments for a fixed monthly or annual fee for a given user, according to the price in effect at the time of ordering. DW Club is billed on a paid subscription basis.
  2. A subscription is a recurring fee. Placing an order for a DW Club subscription involves payment via Stripe, providing personal information, payment card details and ordering recurring and automatic fees charged to the User's card provided during ordering on a monthly or annual basis, depending on the form of billing accepted for participation in DW Club.
  3. The list of materials made available to Users as part of DW Club is publicly available at: https://dataworkshop.ai/dw-club
  4. Users independently familiarize themselves with the specific terms of participation in the program and the list of materials provided for subscription.
  5. Renewal of access to materials occurs automatically after successful charging of the DW Club participant's card, which takes place monthly or annually depending on the order placed. The administrator reserves the right to technical faults in the automatic renewal of the account.
  6. You can join DW Club via a dedicated page or directly from a mailing by paying for a monthly or annual subscription.
  7. The price for a monthly or annual subscription may change over time (become more expensive, cheaper or have time-limited promotions). The price does not change for a DW Club User, which means that a given DW Club Member placing a subscription order agrees to pay a given amount until he/she cancels and this price within the placed order is fixed for him/her (does not get more expensive or cheaper over time). If a given DW Club User cancels the DW Club subscription and wants to purchase the subscription again in some time, the Administrator does not guarantee him the same price as the first time.
  8. A DW Club Member may cancel a subscription at any time, details of cancellation are described in §13 Withdrawal.
  9. Suspension of access to materials may take place when the automatic payment is not collected from the card specified by the user during the subscription order or after cancellation of the DW Club.
  10. DataWorkshop does not guarantee continuous access to the server and the absence of server-related malfunctions.
  11. After paying for the order, the user should receive an email with access to the materials. However, for various reasons beyond the control of the DataWorkshop Administrator, this email may not come or may be delayed (e.g., overloaded inbox of the recipient, disruptions and technical malfunctions on the side of the mailing system). Therefore, we sincerely ask you to write a message to hello@dataworkshop.ai if such a situation occurs that after paying for the order, the access email does not appear until 24 hours. All such situations we will solve and explain individually by e-mail or telephone contact.
  12. Any problems with accessing the materials should be reported by email to: hello@dataworkshop.ai. As the title of the email, please write: "DW Club - problem".
  13. By joining DW Club you agree to transfer the rights and obligations of this agreement to another entity.
  14. Forbidden are all activities that intentionally unnecessarily overload the Administrator's servers and infrastructure or may violate its efficient operation, as well as those that bear the hallmarks of "hacking" the system.
  15. It is also unacceptable to upload one's own materials, while it is permissible to set up new notebooks and experiment for educational purposes in reference to the materials and tasks provided by the Administrator.
  16. Materials and data made available within the DW Club are for educational purposes only, and it is forbidden to copy, download, use them for purposes other than educational and share them with people who have not paid for access to the DW Club.
  17. The Administrator reserves the right to immediately terminate access without notice to a DW Club User if suspicious activity is detected, especially if it is related to items 14, 15, 16 or violates the principles of consensual and friendly cooperation with other DW Club Participants.
§9 Copyright and data

  1. Copyright to the Course and its content, as well as other initiatives, including DW Club and the materials provided, belongs to the creator of the Course and other materials.
  2. By participating in the Course or any other DataWorkshop initiative, the User does not acquire any rights or license to the Course. The User may use the Course or other material only for permitted personal use.
  3. The Administrator hereby instructs the User that further dissemination of the content of the Course or other material without the Administrator's permission will constitute an infringement of the copyright of the Course creator and may result in civil and criminal liability of the User.
  4. The data (including datasets used to train machine learning models) contained in the Course or other materials are intended solely for use in connection with participation in the Course or any other initiative organized by DataWorkshop. You are not authorized to use this data for any purpose other than participation in the Course.

Part of the tasks included in the Course may involve accessing various types of data on the Internet. The Administrator shall provide the User in the Course with guidelines on how to access such data, without being responsible for the actions taken by the User.

§10 Purchase of access to Course, tickets to other online events
1. If the User wishes to participate in any Course or other paid initiative, he/she must purchase access to the Course or other initiative in the option of his/her choice.
2. In order to purchase access to a Course or other paid initiative, the User must take the following steps:
  • a) go to the sales page by selecting the Course of interest on the page at: https://dataworkshop.ai/#courses
  • b) select the Course variant that interests him/her
  • c) fill out the order form,
  • d) click on the "Order and pay" button
  • e) make payment of the order value; payment is made directly on the site of the payment intermediary chosen by the User (Stripe).

3. After the payment is successfully made, the User will be shown the order confirmation page. At that moment, the contract is considered to be concluded between the Administrator and the User. The User will receive a welcome email to the email address provided in the order form, as well as an invoice (if within the order form the User expressed a desire to receive an invoice by selecting the appropriate option).


§11 Online payments
1. As part of the procedure referred to in § 6(2) of the Regulations, the Administrator shall provide the User with the option to make payment for access to the Course, Conference, Workshop through the following online payment service providers:
a. Stripe
b. PayPal.

2. Online payment, with the exception of PayPal payment, may be made using either a fast electronic transfer or a Blik, Visa, Visa Electron, MasterCard, MasterCard Electronic, Maestro payment card.
3. If there is a need for a refund for a transaction made by the User with a payment card, the Administrator will make the refund to the bank account assigned to the User's payment card.
4. The User makes an online payment in the course of placing an order, being redirected directly to the site of the selected payment intermediary. In the case of payment by payment card, the moment of payment is considered the moment of obtaining positive authorization. Immediately after obtaining a positive authorization, the User will receive the welcome message referred to in § 7 paragraph 3 of the Regulations.

§12 Withdrawal from the contract
  1. The consumer has the right to withdraw from the contract concluded with the Administrator without giving any reason within 14 days from the date of conclusion of the contract.
  2. The date of conclusion of the contract is considered to be the date of sale of the product or service in question.
  3. The right to withdraw from the contract does not apply to contracts for the provision of services, if the Administrator has performed the service in full with the express consent of the Consumer, who was informed before the start of the performance that after the Administrator's performance, he will lose the right to withdraw from the contract.
  4. To withdraw from the contract, the Consumer must inform the Administrator of his/her decision to withdraw from the contract by an unequivocal statement - a message sent by email to hello@dataworkshop.ai.
  5. In order to observe the deadline for withdrawal from the contract, it is sufficient for the Consumer to send information on the exercise of the Consumer's right of withdrawal before the expiry of the deadline for withdrawal from the contract.
  6. In the event of withdrawal from the contract, the Administrator shall return to the Consumer all payments received from the Consumer immediately, no later than 14 days from the date on which the Administrator was informed of the exercise of the right of withdrawal.
  7. A DW Club user may unsubscribe at any time for any reason; to do so, write an email to: hello@dataworkshop.ai, titling it "DW Club - cancellation", which means:
  • disconnection of the subscription,
  • fees already charged will not be refunded,
  • the date of cancellation of subscription is considered the date on which the DW Club User's email was sent,
in the case of an annual subscription fee, refunds are possible up to 14 days from the date of purchase by individuals upon express request sent by email to: hello@dataworkshop.ai.

§13 Complaints
  1. The User may file complaints related to participation in the Course or any other online initiative by sending a message to the email address hello@dataworkshop.ai. The message should include the User's designation, the circumstances justifying the complaint and the demand related to the complaint.
  2. The User may file complaints related to participation in the DW Club by sending a message to the e-mail address hello@dataworkshop.ai. The message should contain the User's designation, the circumstances justifying the complaint and the demand related to the complaint.
  3. The Administrator will respond to the submitted complaint within 14 days, sending a reply to the e-mail address from which the complaint was sent.
